This is mine. It's not too bad, but it was poorly designed.

This thing is great. Though out of commission for the moment. Need our mechanic to look at it before our Christmas vacation. There's a bit of grinding when I apply the brakes.

Sounds like you need some new break shoes, I'm assuming it is shoes, though don't hold me on that. Is it a metal to metal grinding noise?

I can't be sure, but it damn sure feels like metal on metal.

My sister said it may be that I need new rotors, being that she had a similar problem and the rotors were the solution. We will see when our mechanic takes a look.

It's possible it could be the discs, I need them done on mine too, they may have warped and is causing uneven wear on the shoes or pads, as you may have pads.

I've done gone and got meself a Vauxhall Meriva for £700.

Strike that, we have to sell it.

I sent my olde certificates of insurance to them to prove the no claims, and I got a letter from them this morning, saying that they couldn't accept them as proof as the renewal date didn't match the start date, or some bollocks like that.

I've now cancelled the insurance and after I get the parts needed, it'll be for sale.

The car passed its MOT today, with only 2 advisory's. 1 for a discoloured indicator and the second for the inner steering joint, which has been knackered for a couple of years, but hasn't affected the steering.
