Orbeth logo question.

Which Orbeth logo is your absolute favourite? I ask because I have an idea, which could be really cool, if I can do it right. It is not computer related though.

Hard to say really as they are all cool to me.

I'd have to say that the one used on 13th Orb and Winds is probably my fave. It's the same font as the one at the top of the forum.

That said I really dig the Sonic Power logo with the naughty Necronomicon esq 'swirl' around the 'O'

I'm now intrigued!

Part 1 done. And yes, there is a picture, which I'll post in due time. Don't want to spoil the surprise now.

Part 1 had to have a bit more done to it, but it is complete. Onto part 2.

I'll try and bet the next stage done tomorrow, before finishing up and revealing all.

Bit of an update.

I need to get something tomorrow to get the next part done, then I should have it finished some time around Thursday.

Another update.

The shop sold out of what I need, so it'll take a little longer than planned. I managed to get some extra done in the mean time, so it's just where the logo is now that needs completing.

Just one question, what colour do you like? I'm thinking black or red.

Hmm out of black and red i'd chose black .........

although i'm partial to a bit of dark blue and turquoise now and again!

I'll just have to find the paint and a decent knife.

Got the paint, it's sorta mid to dark blue and the knife. I can finish the masking today and wait for a dry two hours during the day for painting.

Hehe, I'll try indoors. I could just as easily use a brush, but I want to get a nice finish with my airbrush kit and to have a bash at it.

EDIT: All painted. I'll check it tomorrow when the paint hopefully dries haha.

The paint still hasn't dried. I think I used too much thinners haha.

A bit of a story. I would have liked to do better, but when I used the airbrush, the paint ran underneath the tape and I had to sand it back. Then after I sanded it back, the carved part almost disappeared, so I had to redo it by memory and I used a normal brush for the painting.

I will do better next time :liveandlearn:.

Firstly thanks for taking the time to do this! The painting is pure epic and really close to the vision I had for the 'Ice Fields' on 13th! "THE GREAT ORBETHIN MOUNTAAAAAIIIIINNNN" Gad dayam............ACE!

What's the bit hiding underneath the cd case?

Secondly the Orbeth kodo/drum beater sticks or whatever they may be are farking awesome also! you've defo pulled of the logo ! NICE WORK BOSS!

please please pwitty pweeeees get a full frontal shot of this stuff so that I can put it on the Farcebook page and the twatter page!

Thanks B, greatly appreciated. When I can get my mitts on some more wood, I'm going to give it another bash at doing the sticks again as I'm not happy with the finished result.

The painting isn't complete yet, but it is a tree under the cd case, representing a branch from Yggdrasil. I'll post up a picture of the finished painting tomorrow, as there is only the clouds to sort out.

great stuff are you happy for me to crop this image for farcebook and maybe add a bit of photoshop enhancement?

You may do anything you wish. Not sure how the Viking longship fits, so I'm intrigued.
