Scale models.

Started on another Enterprise E build. This time I'm going to use LED strips instead of prewired LED's like the last one. Also going to use these and these instead of block connectors.

I'll be posting plenty of pictures of the build.

Those are the highest ones online, I think imageshack resized it on upload. I'll get another pic for you, though I took out the lights on the saucer, so that won't be lit, but the rest should.

I think the engines turned out the best on the whole ship. I never thought about sticking it on a space background before, I'll try that with the new build.

It is indeed self contained and the wire to the switch and battery run in the middle of the pole.

If you need anymore, just buzz.

It's going to take longer than expected. The decent drill bit I had, I went and dropped it and bent it like a fiddlers elbow. The replacement bits I got are absolutely useless, so I'm currently looking for some different ones online.

Kudos to your progress. I'd be proud of it. How long do the batteries last?

I haven't a clue. I barely switch it on after the lights on the saucer section went dead haha.

I thought the new drill bits arrived this morning, but saddened that it was only something for my sister :boourns:.

So the new drill bits turned up and they are an Odin sent.

I'll try and get something in the way of pictures uploaded, but there is no paint on any of the pieces yet.

I'll hopefully be able to get a pic of the saucer top just after Yule.

Still needs a lot of light blocking, but the gist is there.

Oh yeah, I got the bottom of the saucer windows driilled out.

Started on the hull windows.

I'm hoping to get one side completed tomorrow, while the computron renders something.

Got an LED strip yesterday, to try and it is Odin sent. It powers by a 9v square battery and I'm going to get another 6 of them.

Still have a row on one side of the hull to finish, which I'll do tomorrow and post the result.

Finally finished with the drilling. Boy was that boring and tedious, but I have a good feeling it'll be worth it.

Got the final LED strips on order, then I'm all set for the painting.

Fuck knows why those two images are gone. Probably not enough pornographic material in them.

Won an Enterprise - D model yesterday, so that's on the to do list haha.

Hehe, if I light it up, I'm going to need the milling bits for the multi tool. It'll take forever by hand.

As a distraction from everything with regards to my mam, I'm going to try and make some mini Star Trek ships models out of wood.
