| Possibly.
I'm having a bit of bother with it. When I play the keys softly, the sound is very soft and low, but if I hit them with a smidge of force, it is constant and loud.
It never did this with Adobe Audition, but I'd like to continue to use Cubase, as it is easier than Audition. Plus on Audition, I had to record the keys to hear what I was playing and I don't need to do this with Cubase.
Or, should I just invest in Sonar X3?

Or, should I just invest in Sonar X3? Ok this is known as touch velocity. Normally this is altered on the keyboard itself, there should be a setting in there to turn it off, up or down. If you struggle to find said setting simply play the notes into cubase. Then open up the key editor and look for all of the velocity bars at the bottom. You should then be able to move them around individually or highlight all of them and put them to max etc. Hope this helps

| Will do.
EDIT: Just had a butchers at the keyboard and it looks like you can edit the setting on the thing itself.
So, I'll give it a bash. | |

How do I import soundfonts? I tried through Kontakt, but I get error loading messages.
See, I'm a total noob haha.

| Ok Here goes I'll try my best. Firstly open up cubase and open a project with MIDI tracks loaded on the left (right click the blue column underneath where it says 'touch fader' and click ADD MIDI TRACK). Or you can click FILE - NEW PROJECT and open up a 16 track MIDI sequencer that has all the MIDI tracks pre loaded. Once you've got that up press F11 on your keyboard. This should bring up a window called VST INSTRUMENTS. Click on one of the dark columns where it says "no instrument". Now you should have a list of all the VST plugins that you've installed (Hopefully Kontact should appear). From here you can chose which one you want for ONLY the channel that has it's output corresponding to the number on the VST window. *note* You have to assign a MIDI instrument to EACH channel. On the far left you have to change the OUTPUT and CHANNEL number to make the mixer correspond to whichever instrument you have loaded in the VST window. See how you get on boss | |

| Managed to sort the mono > stereo thing out but I'm having another problem haha.
When I change keys from one to another, there is an oosh sound as the note changes. I can get a quick sample if it makes no sense, well I make no sense in any case, but ye knaa. Is there a way of getting rid of it, as highlighting and deleting manually is very time consuming.

| It only happens to the lower notes, which is quite puzzling. When I play the higher notes, it is gone . Also, I'm having to take a sabbatical with the music. Cubase crashed on the comp and when I finally reset the comp, I got a boot disk error, so to say I'm disappointed in it is an understatement. I'm going to save up for a SSD and use that instead of the normal HDD, as this is the 6th drive to fail on me in 6 years. | |

| Hmm, this does sound odd. I'd need to come see really to successfully diagnose this issue. It maybe a midi interruption or something on the lower keys. That's also a shame about your HD issues. This is why I have a PC totally dedicated to the studio that completely disconnected from the gremlin web. Touch wood all of 'Space Themes' has gone through the Orbethian mincing machine without any hiccups thus far......*now cursed because I've mentioned it* Can't say I've had any experience with SSD's. Feel free to post how you get on boss! | |

| Will do B. The thing is, the comp isn't connected to the t'internet, at least not yet, hel, I gave my brother a laptop that is a fair few years old and the HDD is still going strong on it. My dad has definitely cursed me haha. I'm hoping to get the money together just after Yule (have to get the timing belt done on the car :boourns:), then we'll see how things go . It has to be cheaper in the long run, with going through all those HDD, so hopefully, it'll be cost effective. So, after everything is done, I'll see if it solves the ooshing sound, but with my cursed luck, it probably won't haha. I'm sure Space Themes is going to turn out fine. | |
