Here's one you can try Tommy if you haven't already: If you are using a desk for more than 1-2 hours a time for drawings or PC or whatever... Scrap your desk if you have one and get / turn it into a standing desk.

I know you said you have knee trouble but, unless you are screeching like a Klingon in total agony immediately when standing - I would try it. Check with a specialist GP if in doubt. That and a healthy, protein-rich diet should do a lot for your health. Obviously it will hurt / ache more at first, probably for the first few weeks... and you take breaks when needed but, the more you do it, the stronger you get.

Sitting too long literally kills and, really most TV's and PC's etc should come with warning stickers about it.

I actually think I've lost some or all of the weight I've gained since 110kg, as most people that know me keep asking if I've lost weight.

It does encourage me to keep on doing as I'm doing. Back on the scrambled egg, as the weight dropped off while eating it.

Back at the hospital next week. Totally bricking it. I hope I don't get the same useless arse that I saw in December. He was a right cheeky bastard.

On the plus side, I think I may have dropped some more weight. At least I hope I have.

EDIT: It's the week after I'm there. Still bricking it though.

Well, been and it was a much better experience. The doctor I saw was friendly. She said my eyes were OK. I'll know more when the results come in though.

Got weighed too, 117kgs on the dot, so I need to lose that by upping my time on the exercise bike from 5 minutes a day to 30 minutes a day. My blood pressure is a concern for them though, so I need to see my nurse and go from there.

Small steps boss! I'm sure you'll get there!

I have Bilateral mild non proliferative diabetic retinopathy and left diabetic maculopathy.

I'm due at the opticians this month though to get them photographed and probably change my glasses, as my vision is a bit blurry.

Was at the doctorbs today for my bloods for the diabetes.

My blood pressure is still high, but I'll get it checked again on Thorsday, when I go for the results, and if it is still high, something will have to be done about it.

On the plus side, I now weigh 112kgs, down 5 kgs on my last weight. Result.

Was back at the hospital today.

My right eye is fine, but my left eye has haemorrhaging in the back centre of the eye. The doctor doesn't want to use the laser on it because of where it is, and said it is dangerous to do so.

So, I need to lower my cholesterol as he says that that could reduce the haemorrhaging and hardening of the area, so, I guess I'll be on rabbit food for a while.

Got to go back in three months for a check up and hopefully, with diet and a bit more exercise, I can limit the damage.

Saw the podiatrist today and it is worst case scenario. I have neuropathy in my left foot. There is no cure, but there is tablets to slow the deteriation, but not stop it.

Have to see the doctorbs about it though and the podiatrist is sending me an information booklet on looking after my feet. I can't walk bare footed anymore too, which will take some getting used to.
