Greetings from the Orbethian High Council.
Rumour has it that there is another project underway. We have heard on the grapevine that, despite protestations by the metal deities, it isn't going to be a metal project. This may displease some of you and for this we apologise but, as previously stated Benjies ears aren't what they used to be these days. From what we have heard through the waves of the cosmos it will be an electronic/big beat style album/EP with subtle guitars. At this stage this is all we can reveal as we just don't know ourselves yet.
On a more positive note though there are things happening at least, albeit through slow progress. We know that Ben is tied up with a new job most of the time currently but is doing his best to lay down some soundscapes when appropriate.
We can tell you all that there are 5 tracks recorded so far and that there could be a name change upon release. Ben has been thinking (painful) of shortening "Orbeth" to simply "Orb" for this particular project.
The recording, mixing and mastering process is also drastically different to the one used in previous releases (hopefully better).

If something does end up dropping out of the mind of the Mentalist it shall be unexpected and with no prior publicity.
