Yes there will be colour at the animation stage, it is easier on the computer .

As for the hands, I guess it is a case of an artist is never satisfied haha. But if they look fine, I guess they can stay .

The side view. Still not happy with the hands, but they are better than my previous attempts, which quite frankly looked shit.

Just a slight update.

I've got most of the 3/4 view done, but yes, I'm having hassle getting the hands to look right. So, I'm going to hunt down some learning to draw hands tutorials, and practise practise practise.

Failing that, I have a little trick I could try, but I'd prefer to learn for the future.

On hold at the moment as I've had to put a bandage on my hand thanks to the eczema, which is a right pain in the arse.

Once I get back to it, I'll post more updates.

My eczema has cleared, so I'm back on drawing duty.



Only two hands done right now, but I can tell you that they are way better than any I've done before.

I'll get some more practise in tonight, while Booncey watches his football, then I'll post them up here for you guys' feedback.

On second glance, they aren't as bad as they seemed when I drew them.

Onwards and upwards.

A couple of added hands and I'll call that sheet complete. As you can see, I had to draw one hand three times, as they kept messing up, so I'm going to practice practice practice that one more.

Started on the second round of hands.

As before, they look much better after not staring blindly, rubbing the cricket ball endlessly (10 points for the right reference to that).

Going to print out some more hands to draw in the mean time.

Just a quicky, pronounced quiche, but I wanted your take on this. As you can see, the top row were done from the same sheet as the previous page, however, the three larger hands were done from a different sheet that I found and printed.

Where is this going I hear you ask, well, should I continue with the new sheet or go back to the previous sheet?

I'm not particularly happy about the pointing hand, as I know I could be better at it. But anyway, because of the concept of the cartoon, I'm going to try Viking longships next, as I'm quite shite at doing them, like hands haha, but look at the progress there.

As you can see, the front view needs a hell of a lot of practice to get right. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find many decent views to practice from. I've came across two from Google images.

I'm quite happy with the 3/4 view of the dragon head though, just a little tweaking and it should be complete.

EDIT: Found some books on drawing dragons on Amazon, which I'm hoping will help.

Not happy with the dragon heads if I'm perfectly honest. I know they look odd, but I have an idea, which I'll try and get sorted this week.
