| Well, I've started drilling the holes for the windows on the Enterprise E model that I'm going to light up.
I'll try and get a pic uploaded sometime tomorrow, after a few things are sorted.

| I'm having to redo the paint on the saucer, as the instructions were wrong, saying it had dark grey on half of the saucer, when there isn't. | |

They could be better, but I'm a noob when it comes to lighting models.

| I couldn't even bring myself to paint my pre-made Enterprise E model. Attempting to add the decals without tearing them was also fucking ridiculous.
You'll be so lucky to have that finished. You have my envy, as I adore the Enterprise E, as well as futuristic/mechanical/computerized devices/structures with bright lights on them.
Lookin' good to me. Keep it up.

I'm absolutely dreading this part. I tore loads doing the Excelsior model. EDIT: I have started putting in the fibre optic cable to run the lights. It is a right pain in the arse, keep falling out. But I'll soldier on and post some more pics when it is done. DOUBLE EDIT: I figured out how to fit them without falling out and the hull is now fibre optically lit. Now for the saucer. DOUBLE DOUBLE EDIT: I've pulled the fibre optics out. When I was trying to bend the ends into the hull, they kept falling out, so I'm just going to use 6 led's to light the hull. It worked in practice.

| Remind me on to never light another Enterprise E model.
Just went and sliced my finger open trying to sort out the warp nacelles and being as I'm diabetic, it's quite a nasty thing.

| I know there is a bit of light bleed which I'll have to sort out. | |

| Damn. That's cool as hell. I wouldn't mind the finished piece glowing amongst the array of different kinds of fancy lights that are scattered around my room.
Shit would go well with some mellow beats at night with the lights cut off.
Wishing the best of luck on the journey ahead. Don't cut any more fingers. Actually, just don't penetrate any flesh period.

| I know it looks the same, but I've sorted the blue bit light bleed. On to the front light bleed. | |

| Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand what do you know, one of the decals refused to play balls. The middle section of one of the final pieces refused to budge and ripped. Looks like it'll have to be battle damaged after all :boourns:. | |
