Hahaha, I'll give it a try after I've finished watching Gargoyles Series 2 Volume 2.

Are there any games you guys play competitively, or would like to? I doubt Bij does, given his delving into tons of other fields.
I was big on Mario Kart course records until the game went to shit. Moved to Super Smash Brothers... it had flaws. I now play a modded version of the game, designed with depth and rewarding skill in mind, as well as balancing ~40 characters. I play that now mostly... I should mention that in between tried getting good at Twisted Metal, Halo and another fighter, but I only got semi-good at best despite my efforts.
I'm tempted to post clips, but at the same time, I'm at the point in the learning curve of understanding a fighter on a basic level that I learn new stuff all the time, so clips a month old are garbage compared to how I play now, and the game's poor net makes it hard to find a match I've saved that doesn't contain.... stupidity. I'll leave that up to you guys.

The only competition game wise we had, there may have been others before I joined here, from the olde forum, was F-Zero on the N64. I suppose we could fire it up again or mayhaps an F1 game, with wheel, that could be fun.

I remember that. Sounds like something that I would enjoy, were I able to participate. I'd have to learn up on F-Zero though because sadly, I still don't know how to drift or whatever it's called.
They need to release an online F-Zero, just one, for the Wii U. A generation of fans, instantly satisfied. Just as long as it's not developed by some of the wackos that are rampant in Nintendo.

I don't think you can drift on F-Zero, at least I've never been able to, so I may be wrong.
An online one would be cool and I'm a bit surprised that Nintendo haven't made one yet.

I might have to fire up Command and Conquer later on the olde PS1.
Then, we can see what games we can compete at, hows about Ridge Racer Type 4? I almost won a competition in Electronics Boutique playing that.

Hmm, unfortunately basically anything on an emulator is out of the question at the moment. The only laptop I have runs Ubuntu and Windows 7 won't install properly on it.
I think it would help also to know what platforms we each have/intend to get. In my case I own a Wii, Ps3, 360, and Ninty 3DS, though I'll probably wind up selling my 360 at some point for extra cash.
I have
Killzone 2/3 (which I don't really play) and Twisted Metal on Ps3;
Halo 3, Reach, and 4 on 360;
For Wii I have Super Smash Brothers Brawl/Brawl Mods, Mario Kart Wii, and Mario Strikers Charged Football, though if I'm not mistaken you can't play Euros in that game despite being football-based...
And the only thing I have on 3DS is Pokemon, which I'm pretty certain neither of you play. Old coots.
