| So here's the first from Mike R:
"A very good album to drive along to surprisingly. A bit difficult to describe (which is a good thing) but very coarsely it reminded me of a mix of Devin Townsend, Ozric Tentacles with melodic death/black. Admittedly the Derek Roddy tracks have a different vibe going on (e.g. The Lashing thrashes like a bastard) but they still fit in the overall scheme. The most important thing is that it actually has a sci-fi feel beyond the synth washes. It is big, open, grandiose, elegant and imposing, with the whole album feeling like a properly structured journey. Superb lead playing too with lovely tone."

| Now that I have gotten over my food poisoning, don't ask, I'll knock together a review of Space Themes, since I can't find the one I did for The Way, and post it here and on the Nile forum.
Hopefully there, peoples will want to check out Orbeth more and buy one of the digi packs. | |
